my dear little samuel,
10 months old?! TEN whole months?! you've got to be kidding me, i seriously don't know how you are already
that old. time to press the pause button, because you're growing up way to fast kiddo! :(
this past month was another fun one. mostly just relaxing and uneventful, but that's how we like things. :) you enjoyed your first parade (bountiful's pioneer day parade). you loved watching all the different floats and people - you were seriously entertained the entire time. we've spent a lot of time with family and friends, which we of course always enjoy. you are becoming such good friends with mr. corbin - you two just smile when you see each other, almost as if you know you're friends. ;) we started swimming lessons a few days ago, and you are still quite the little fish. you love the water, which is a lot of fun. grandma is doing the lessons with us, and that makes it even more fun!
here are some things i want to remember about you as a 10-month-old:
- you are a moving machine! me oh my, are you a fast crawler! you also started crawling up the stairs. now if only we could get you to go down them the proper way, rather than head first. ;)
- you can stand on your own for a few seconds at a time.
- as i said above, you
love the water! baths, the water table, pools, the shower - anything and everything!
- you started waving! you don't do it all the time, but when you do it is so cute. :)
- you want to do whatever big bro is doing. if he is playing with a toy, you wan't to play too. if he is watching something on the iPad, you want to watch (or play with the iPad ;)) too. you follow him all over the place and can i just say - i LOVE this. i was so worried that you wouldn't like him since he's been in your face/on top of you from the beginning. but i can tell that you just adore him, and that makes my heart happy. :)
- so far you still love all types of food. occasionally we'll come across something that you don't care much for, but the the most part, you're a total foodie. you'll even eat vegetables!! go sam!!!
- you love to bounce. on the trampoline, on the bed...anywhere that's bouncy you just light up and bounce on your bum. so cute!
- you clap all day long. love it!
- you still love to play peek-a-boo and you still laugh hysterically every time anyone plays it with you. the cutest is when finn does it with you. :)
- we recently discovered that you are a sensitive little thing. the other day you were crawling toward duke and he growled at you - you immediately stopped crawling, sat up and just cried and cried. it was so sad! if finn pushes you over, you do the same thing! but you know what they say - girls like a sensitive man, so i think this is a good quality, even if it is a little sad. ;)
- you still hate your carseat.

- you love to play with balls, and all toys really. the other day grandma asked me if i thought you seem to like toys more than your big brother did at your age. i think we just have more toys than we did when finn was 10 months. never the less, it is obvious you like playing with toys so i'm glad they are getting used. :)
i'm sure there are so many other things i could write, but that's a start. i have absolutely loved this summer, and will be so sad to see it end. although, i am quite excited for the fall too. in the meantime though, we will soak up every bit of the warm weather and sunshine that we can get.
